    The Indonesian National Ice Hockey Team made history by winning the gold medal at the 2025 SEA Games.

In the ice hockey final on Friday (December 19, 2025) evening WIB, Indonesia defeated host Thailand 3-2.

Indonesia fell behind early on through Patrick Forstner's goal with 5:42 remaining in the first half, but the Indonesian team equalized through Jonathan Ryan Ferry Nugraha's goal at 1:33. The first half ended with the score tied at 1-1.

Thailand restored their lead in the second half with 16 minutes and 41 seconds remaining. However, Indonesia equalized again in the third half with 1:56 remaining, and then sealed the victory with a goal from Saveli Molchanov in the final minute.

The Indonesian national ice hockey squad has also strengthened with the addition of four naturalized players from Russia.

They are Evgenii Nurislamov, Artem Bezrukov, Savelii Molchanov, and Adel Khabibullin.

The Chairman of the Indonesian Ice Hockey Federation (FHEI), Ronald Situmeang, expressed his gratitude for the Indonesian national ice hockey team's success in winning a gold medal at the 2025 SEA Games.

"I am very grateful to God Almighty and the entire Indonesian National Ice Hockey Team family for their unwavering support," said Ronald in an official release.

Rashford admitted that he is enthusiastic about his future with the Spanish giant. He hopes to win prestigious trophies with Barcelona.

INSIGHT HARBOR - The Indonesian national team began holding training camps ahead of facing China in the continued Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Asian Zone. A total of 23 players attended the inaugural training session at the Bali United Training Center, Purnama Beach, Gianyar, Bali.

A total of 22 players attended the first training session, including names such as Ernando Ari, Nadeo Argawinata, Ole Romeny, Ramadhan Sananta, Stefano Lilipaly, Rafael Struick, Pratama Arhan, Shayne Pattynama, Marcelino Ferdinan, Ricky Kambuaya, Nathan Tjoe A On, and Asnawi Mangkualam. Several other players, such as Mees Hilgers, Maarten Paes, Kevin Diks, Jay Idzes, and Calvin Verdonk, are still on their way to Bali and are expected to join soon.

“They are on their way to Indonesia. They might be here tomorrow,” said Patrick Kluivert.

Training is carried out under strict supervision with security guards, including police intel, to ensure team focus and comfort.
